What are the best types to try? How do you know if they are the right choice for your little one? Read on to learn more. How do OSFM nappies work? The basic idea behind a OSFM cloth nappy is simple. The nappy can be adjusted to make it small enough to fit a tiny baby and then it can be let out to fit an older child. There are a number of ways that this can be achieved, but one of the most popular is rise snaps. These are the snaps that you can see on the front of this type of nappy. The idea is that by snapping them closed, it reduces the rise of the nappy. The rise is the distance from the front waistband to the rear, passing between the legs. This does make a much smaller nappy or outer, but as it can sometimes still be bulky across the back, our dinky nappies also feature snaps at the rear
