Greener options

  • Try reusable menstrual products. Less waste, less energy to produce them and actually better for you. We have a great selection of pads and cups.
  • Use a hanky. Everyone used to use a cotton handkerchief, but now most people tend to use tissues. You can still pick up hankies fairly easily and they are an easy reusable product to switch to.
  • Use washable wipes on your baby. Not just for cleaning bottoms at change times, they are also great for sticky fingers and no nasty chemicals.
  • Buy a reusable coffee cup. No need to go without your caffeine fix, but better to use a reusable cup when you can.
  • Dry your washing outside. Uses far less energy than the tumble dryer and better for your clothes too. Our recycled pegs make it even more environmentally friendly.
  • Try to remember your reusable bags when out and about. I keep a fold-up one in the car, so I have one on hand for unplanned shopping trips.
  • Think about giving cloth nappies a go on your baby. If you want some help choosing the right ones, check out our advice form.
