Love of cloth nappies

Image
If you look at just about any cloth nappy business out there, you’ll probably find that they will tell you they started their business because they wanted to help people with their cloth nappy choices, they wanted to help parents to find their way through the maze that is cloth nappies and help them to choose the right reusable products for them and their children. Nappyneedz is no different really, I set it up because I wanted to do all of that, but also because of my love of cloth nappies. Finding the cloth nappy love If you’d have told me before I had children, that I would develop a love of cloth nappies, I would have probably looked at you and laughed, then asked what you were drinking and if I could have some. The idea that anyone could love a cloth nappy just seemed totally insane, and yet I found that not only did I come to love cloth nappies, I also discovered that I wasn’t the only one. This wasn’t some strange post pregnancy, hormonal thing, or at least if it was, I wasn’t t

Second hand cloth nappies

If you’re looking to start out in cloth nappies without spending a fortune, or to build up your nappy stash without breaking the bank, then second hand cloth nappies are a great place to start. Does it really matter? Why fit matters It makes sense, the better the fit of your cloth nappy, the more effective it’s going to be. A nappy cover that gapes and has gaps all over it, especially in the key ‘danger zones’ like the legs and back, isn’t going to work as well as one that is snug and fits well. But how important is it to get it really right? Actually it makes a huge difference, just a few little differences in features that help to give a really good fit, can be the difference between a cloth nappy that works really well and dealing with a poo-splosion. There’s a bit more to this than just size though. Obviously you want the right size cover for your little one, but having a few extra features, such as an elasticated waist to stop things leaking up the back and double gussets at th
