Eco packaging

Here at Ecobots, we always try to be environmentally friendly and be as ‘green’ as possible. After all, cloth nappies are a sustainable and environmentally friendly product and it makes sense that we would try to be environmentally friendly.  One of the ways in which we try to do this, is to use, where possible, Eco packaging.

Eco packaging for cloth nappies

Many products that we buy come with all kinds of un-necessary packaging, and unfortunately, cloth nappies are no different.  All too often they come wrapped in plastic, with cardboard inserts, or with extra layers of shrink wrap around them.  Although it does keep them nice and clean and together it isn’t really what you might call eco packaging.  In all honesty, there’s no real need for all of these extra layers and plastic covering.  Even if you can recycle the items, then there’s not really any need for them.

We don’t think that all of this extra packaging is necessary, and so, at Ecobots we try to keep things to a minimum and when we do package our products, we try to offer eco packaging.  For all of our smaller items, we don’t add any extra packaging, if  you order wipes, booster pads or nappy covers, then usually they will come without any packaging at all.  We put them straight into the courier bags that they get delivered in.  For our larger items, such as nappies then we pack them in re-usable paper bags.   Our really large items, like our cloth nappy sets,  are put in our reusable cotton bags.  Not only do our Ecobots cotton bags keep everything clean and together, ready for you, but they are also great to reuse for other things.  Our cotton bags are a great, reusable alternative when doing your weekly shop, or use them to carry all of your baby essentials with you.  Our reusable cotton bags are the ultimate in eco packaging.

Packaging to post

When it comes to packaging our orders to post, at the moment we use courier bags from our courier or the post shop. We are always looking for a more environmentally friendly alternative, and when we find one that works for us and our customers, then we will make the switch.  For larger orders we try to use recycled packaging where possible.  We reuse the packaging and boxes that orders are sent to us in, and then reuse them to send larger orders out to you, our customers.

Our packaging may not be as flash or fancy looking as some other brands, but here at Ecobots we try to always use eco packaging.
